This book makes my point...sort of

God: An Anatomy by Francesca Stavrakopoulou [Knopf]

Reviewed in the April 6, 2023 New York Review of Books by Anna Della Subin [Page 39 ff.]

While Ms. Stavrakopoulou takes the pro-women/anti-male approach, her scholarship excels and you’ll find all the points I’m trying to make, minus the homosexual proclivity that god (Yahweh) showcased and the query, How could this being represent the Supreme creator of Life/Reality?

I’d review the book in my Book Section but Ms. Subin’s is superb and much more erudite than I could muster.

I’ll be adding some material not covered by Ms. Stavrakopoulou and certainly not mentioned by Biblical scholars (in their hesitancy to downgrade a god who wasn’t).
